This policy covers the FiberDex Android app, the FiberDex office dashboard at app.fiberdex.app, and this website. FiberDex is made by TB Solutions LLC, a Kentucky company ("we", "us"). We've tried to keep it short and plain.
Sites, splice maps, jobs, units, notes, photos, addresses and GPS locations you enter are stored on your device. We don't receive them, and you don't need an account.
Automatic backups are saved to your phone's own storage (the FiberDex/Backups folder). They stay on your phone unless you move or share them.
Exports (PDF, Excel, KMZ and backup files) go through your phone's share sheet to wherever you choose. What happens to them after that depends on the app or service you pick.
If you allow it, FiberDex uses your location to tag sites and photos, show what's nearby, and attach photos to the nearest site, pole or cable. Location is processed on your device. On the personal version it isn't sent to us. Photos you take or attach are stored on your device with your records, along with the GPS position and time they were taken. You can turn off location or camera permission anytime in your phone's settings.
When you have a signal, the map loads street map tiles from OpenFreeMap and satellite imagery from the U.S. Geological Survey's National Map. Like any website, those services see your IP address and which map tiles are requested, which shows the general area you're looking at. We don't send them your logged data. "Navigate to" opens Google Maps, which has its own privacy policy.
FiberDex Pro is bought through Google Play. Google handles the payment. We don't see your card details. The app stores the purchase status on your phone so Pro works offline.
A company can use FiberDex for its crew through the office dashboard. If you sign in to a company in the app or the dashboard:
We keep a company's data while it's a pilot company or customer. After the pilot or contract ends, we delete the company's data, including photos, from our cloud systems within 60 days. A company can ask for an export before then. Copies on techs' phones are removed when the phones next sync, or when the app is uninstalled.
We don't sell data. We use a few service providers to run FiberDex: Supabase (database, photo storage, sign-in and sign-in emails) and Google Play (purchases). They only get what they need to provide their service. We may share information if the law requires it.
This website has no analytics, ads or tracking cookies. If you email or call us, we use what you send only to answer you.
On the personal version, delete records in the app, or uninstall FiberDex to remove its on-device data. Backup files in the FiberDex/Backups folder stay until you delete them. On the company version, ask your company's admin, or contact us.
FiberDex is a professional tool and isn't directed at children.
If this policy changes, we'll post the update here and change the date at the top.
